Meeting date: 2nd February 2021 Speaker: Jolyon Berry, TSP Solicitors (see below for contact details) Title: Equal Opportunities and Protecting Your Business Against Discrimination Claims  In this presentation Jolyon gave a brief history of legislation around equal opportunities and equality.  He explained the changes in society over the years and how progress has been made (although there is still more to be done).  Against this background Jolyon discussed the increasing number of claims for discrimination and the complexity of the law in this area which can make complex cases difficult to defend (e.g. when an Clamant puts in numerous claims, they only need one of these to be upheld to be awarded compensation).   However, good HR practices will help prevent…
