All about HR for SMEs Network

HR for SMEs Network is a network for anyone who looks after HR within an SME organisation, regardless of their job title.   This may include a dedicated HR Manager, but it also recognises that HR is often given to non-HR people to look after as an additional responsibility e.g. the office manager, accounts, or the MDs PA! It also recognises that anyone who has responsibility for staff has to 'do' HR to some extent.

Many people who look after HR within an SME or have responsibility for people, can feel vulnerable when it comes to HR. Often they may be in a stand alone position and have no one to 'bounce-ideas' off or refer to.

One of the benefits of the Network is realising that others experience the same problems and frustrations as you and 'you are not alone'.

The Network meetings are a good opportunity to meet others. At the end of every meeting we have an (optional) networking session where we go into break out rooms. This is a chance to introduce yourself and start growing your network.

The networking meeting topics are intended to cover a wide range of subjects relating to managing HR within an SME organisation. Some will be based on compliance and HR regulation / employment law, whilst others will cover areas such as wellbeing, communication, appraisals and other subjects that may be relevant to an SME organisation. Some subjects provide insight into wider business areas and how HR relates to them and how they can add value.

We have a variety of speakers, all of whom are experts in their field, from solicitors, HR consultants, Trainers, NLP Practitioners and Business Professionals.
